Bakugan Fourth Season! Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge

A fourth season is coming out for Bakugan, and it's called Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge. Here's a paragraph about it from a Bakugan Wiki. (URL at the bottom of the post.)

A new enemy infiltrates Bakugan Interspace and threatens the heroic team of Bakugan Battle Brawlers. Dan and the others are challenged for their title as the best brawlers. Plus, Dan and Drago have dreams haunting them of bad events to come, courtesy of the Sacred Orb of Neathia. They also gain strange powers from Code Eve and the Sacred Orb. It will premiere on February 13 in Canada and February 19 in the United States.
I don't exactly trust the air date, because it may be just a rumor, but it seems like an interesting season, so I'll try to keep you posted!

New Pokemon Press Release!

POKÉMON PLANS BLOCKBUSTER YEAR WITH EXTENSIVE OFFERINGS TIED TO RELEASE OF POKÉMON BLACK VERSION AND POKÉMON WHITE VERSION VIDEO GAMES

National Mall Tour, New Animated Series, Feature-Length Film, Trading Card Game Expansion, and Toy Line, Competitive Gaming Tournaments and an All-Encompassing Marketing Program Highlight Landmark Year for Entertainment Franchise

BELLEVUE, WA - January 24th, 2011 - Pokémon™, one of the most successful entertainment properties in the world and the second-largest video game franchise of all-time, is celebrating a blockbuster year in 2011. Led by the release of the Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version video games for the Nintendo DS™family of systems, The Pokémon Company International will roll out an all-new animated television series and feature-length film. A brand-new trading card game (TCG) expansion, Pokémon TCG: Black & White, and merchandise, including an innovative new toy line, round out an exciting year of offerings from the company. A comprehensive, multi-million dollar marketing campaign supports the brand's initiatives, in addition to video game marketing from Nintendo of America Inc. This multi-pronged strategy will thrust Pokémon into the spotlight across its many entertainment offerings.

Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version launches in the U.S. on March 6th as one of the most anticipated video game releases of the year, introducing players to a brand-new world with more than 150 never-before-seen Pokémon featured in an all new adventure. The games' release in Japan last September shattered all existing sales records in that country, making them the fastest-selling Nintendo DS games in history with 5 million units sold (Famitsu, Jan. 2011).

"The release of Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version gives us the opportunity to launch brand-new entertainment that our existing and new fans will love," said J.C. Smith, director of Consumer Marketing for The Pokémon Company International. "Every major pillar of the brand-including video games, TV animation, feature films, andthe Pokémon Trading Card Game-will see exciting changes throughout the year."

Pokémon kicks off the year with a new animated series and full-length feature film set to air on Cartoon Network, Pokémon's national broadcast partner. The year's animation entertainment begins with the film debut of Pokémon-Zoroark: Master of Illusions on February 5th at 7:00 p.m., to be followed just one week later by the special premiere of two episodes of the new animated series-Pokémon: Black and White- on February 12th beginning at 9:00 a.m., starring an entirely new cast of Pokémon characters who join Ash and Pikachu on their continuing adventures.

In April, Pokémon will launch the Pokémon Trading Card Game : Black & White expansion, an all-new set of Pokémon TCG cards featuring new Pokémon, Trainers, and environments inspired by the video games. Pokémon TCG collectors and players will discover new expansions of Pokémon TCG: Black & White throughout the year. This latest installment of the TCG will add to a franchise that boasts more than 15 billion cards sold in over 60 countries.

The franchise's year will be kick-started by an extensive, multi-million dollar marketing campaign beginning with the nationwide Pokémon Black Version & White Version Tour, arriving at major malls beginning February 5th. The tour will hit 14 key markets over a seven-week schedule offering fans a first-look at the new video games and a slate of activities designed to heighten awareness and create a groundswell of anticipation around the franchise. The itinerary will include immersive Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version video game demonstrations, free screenings of the new Pokémon movie, Pokémon-Zoroark: Master of Illusions, photo opportunities with Pokémon characters, and various games and prize-winning opportunities for fans. A Pokémon Center store offering a variety of merchandise will also be on-site.

The Pokémon Company International will extend its grassroots marketing strategy with special character distributions throughout the year for the Pokémon video games at select retailers across the country. These character distributions offer Pokémon video game players the chance to receive, via Nintendo® Wi-Fi Connection, specific Pokémon that will not be available through regular gameplay.

Pokémon fans interested in playing the new video games and trading card game competitively can do so through Play! Pokémon events. These gaming tournaments, held throughout North America, Europe and Asia, culminate in the highly anticipated Pokémon World Championships in San Diego, California in August 2011, which hosts thousands of Pokémon players from around the world.

At retail, all-new Pokémon licensed merchandise is slated to roll-out throughout 2011, including a full line-up of toys from JAKKS Pacific. JAKKS plans to launch an all new Skill & Action line of toys for older kids which allows them to "Catch," "Train," & "Battle" their Pokémon in unique, interactive and competitive toy-based experiences. JAKKS will also launch new collectible figures and plush featuring all-new Pokémon characters, playsets that emulate the new region, and "Trainer" role play items inspired by the TV animation series.

Keke Palmer Voicing Keisha in Winx Club...

Thanks to Winx 4 Life for finding this.

Nickandmore.com originally posted a press release about Keke Palmer voicing a girl named Keisha in Winx Club. Now, who is this Keisha? I have two theories:

She's a new Winx. (We already have seven, shouldn't that be enough?)
They re-named Layla/Aisha. (Can't you just stick with the original, Nickelodeon?)

Here's the Press Release:

Teen Star Keke Palmer to Shine in 2011 With New Interscope Album and Roles in an Upcoming TV Series and Three Films

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Jan. 11, 2011 — Interscope Recording artist and award-winning actress Keke Palmer just may be the busiest 17-year-old girl in America in 2011. Establishing herself as one of the fastest rising stars of her generation, Palmer will continue to star in the title role of the Nickelodeon sitcom “True Jackson, VP” while simultaneously shooting a movie musical, producing and starring in a second feature film, and performing voiceover characters in both a major animated motion picture and a new animated television series. Additionally, in anticipation of her sophomore album which Interscope will release later this year, Keke has already produced a video for her song “The One You Call.”

The three-time NAACP Image Award winner and Kids’ Choice Award nominee for Favorite TV Actress is currently filming Joyful Noise starring Queen Latifah, Dolly Parton and Palmer. Keke plays the daughter of Latifah in the story centered on a small-town gospel choir. She will also be featured on the soundtrack for the movie from the Blindside producers scheduled for release via Warner Bros. in early 2012. For Ice Age: Continental Drift, the fourth film in the blockbuster Ice Age animated series from Fox, set for summer 2012, Palmer will voice the role of Peaches, a young woolly mammoth. Also on tap Ragz, a music-oriented Nickelodeon teen movie, that Keke is both starring in and producing, which is targeted for a 2012 premiere.

In addition, she will record this year the voice of Keisha, one of the magical fairies in the Nickelodeon animated action and fantasy series “Winx Club,” a hugely popular franchise with young girls worldwide that will debut in 2012 with new episodes in the U.S. Set in the mystical dimension of Magix where three schools educate modern fairies, witches and supernatural warriors from around the universe, “Winx Club” first aired in Italy six years ago and became an international phenomenon.

Palmer’s breakthrough portrayal of Akeelah Anderson in the sleeper hit Akeelah and The Bee won her an Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture in 2006. In 2010, she won for the second time for Best Actress in a Children’s Television Show for “True Jackson, VP.” Keke Palmer remains in the record books as the youngest actor to ever be nominated by the Screen Actors Guild in a lead actor category.

Now, if there was another Winx, that would obviously be more than enough. If they renamed Layla, there would be obvious consequences. What do you guys think?

UK and Australian Release Dates for Black & White

Nintendo's officially dated Pokémon Black & White for a March 4 release in the UK, confirming earlier reports.

The decision means Europe will be getting the latest handheld monster outing two days before our American friends, with the title having been officially confirmed over Christmas for a March 6 US release.

The latest game features an entirely new roster of Pokémon - 156 in total, including some that are exclusive to each of the two versions, such the two legendary Pokémon Reshiram (Black) and Zekrom (White).

Also new are entirely differing areas to explore in each version, and the game also features changing seasons - another series first.

And Australia is getting the game on March 10.

What Can I Do To Make This Site Better?

Hey everybody! I wanted to ask everyone who reads this blog something, whether you found it on Google five minutes ago, have been reading ever since we started, everything in between! Even if you're a writer here! I want to ask, what can I do to make this site better?

We had a really strong point in July of 2010 and had a lot of visitors. It decreased every month until November, where we got a few more than October, but then it went back down in December. That saddens me, because I try hard on this site, but I still feel like I could do better.

I've been given a few ideas from our awesome writer Gamercatgirl, but I want to see what you guys think. Now, for the new year, we have a few things up our sleeve! Here are some of the things I have planned:

  • A Fan Creation Page (You know you all want one! I haven't started working on it just yet, but I've been thinking about it. I'll have to reconnect with a person or two, make some new links and graphics, have someone draw up the HTML for the configurations of them, and a few other things, but I think we'll be able to!)

  • Videos of gameplay and other things. (Like the Pokemon Tournament I should be going to around June. For the past two years I've been going, and this year probably won't be any different!)

  • Improvements made to the Song Lyrics and Videos page. (YouTube is irritating, taking down tons of the videos we put up...)

  • POSSIBLY a new writer. (I'm not sure about this yet, but I'm starting to think about one. Because of that irritating thing known as real life, me and gamercatgirl are the only ones posting on here a lot, and I say "a lot" VERY loosely. I'm thinking of recruiting another friend to do some posting here, but I'm not sure.)

  • And, of course, tons of new posts about new games, new news, and new episodes of Winx Club, Bakugan, and Pokemon!
Even though I have those things in mind, I need YOUR help! Tell me in a comment what I should do to make this site better! Remember, this site is nothing without you guys. I need you to send it bloopers, recommendations, videos, and news as much as you can to my email, imk1047@gmail.com.

I would also like to send out a special Thank You to the people who have been here from the beginning.

Phoebe Faulkner, creator of Winx-Fairies, and one of my best friends. She's been here ever since BEFORE I made this site, was the one who got it off of its feet for me, and was the one who inspired me most to make it.

Gamercatgirl, writer on Winx-Fairies, and a great friend who's constantly helping me with posts and news here.

Grace Qute, an awesome person who makes tons of our graphics here at Winx Bakugan Pokemon. The style of the website as I post this was mostly created by her! She made the links, the link to our forum, the header, and even more! Thanks sooo much, Grace!

Those are the three people that brought this site up with me, and helped me string together practically everything on it. If I'm forgetting anyone, don't blame me because I'm tired and it's 4:21 in the morning...meh, I was going to make a reference to a show I'm starting to get into, but I changed my mind.

Anyway, post a comment or email me your recommendations for this website! I'll edit this post and put them up on a list. HAPPY NEW YEAR!! (Wow, I typed a lot...)

Recommendations:
  • Update Bloopers and Babelfish pages more often.
  • Split Bloopers and Babelfish pages into categories so they'll be easier to read.
  • Simplify graphics so they won't be as distracting.
  • Change background.
  • Organize text in articles to be easier to read. (I tried to fix up this article a bit, I'll do that a lot more from now on. Thanks Kiku!)
