Just Wanted to Let You Know That I'm Not Dead :)

Sorry the site's been so empty lately. I've been going through some stuff, and between that, school, life, and occasional laziness, I haven't updated. I never forgot though, I think about it all the time, and have many plans on when (not if) I'm going to start back up again. Here's my current point of view on Pokemon, Winx, and Bakugan:

Pokemon, I'm still into. I lost my DS Lite along with my Pokemon White, and I'm still kind of reeling from it. I know it sounds selfish, but it was a huge link between me and Pokemon, and after that link being severed, I'm having trouble getting back into it. I have a Pokemon Black copy that I imported, but I can't play it since I lost my DS Lite and the DSi and 3DS have region-lock. I also have an English Pokemon Black copy, and I tried restarting it (and gathering up my old team), but it's hard starting from the beginning again. I also transferred many Pokemon into the Pokemon White, so I lost those too. I still have the anime, but missing one episode lead to missing the next, and before I knew it, I was many, many episodes behind. I plan on getting to them eventually, but I still haven't. Dumb, right? Yeah.

Winx...I'm not really sure of. I feel like I'm slowly growing out of it, but that's what happened to me years ago, and then I got back into it. When I start the site back up, I may need to get some help with posting Winx news. I also missed...either one or two of the specials, but I'm gonna try to keep up, especially with the 5th Season, which I am still excited for. :)

Bakugan...I don't mean to say this the wrong way, and no offense to people who still like it, but I basically hate it now. In my opinion, the first season was amazing. The second season was so-so. I tried watching the third, and I just couldn't. Now, I know what you're thinking. "How can you insult something you never tried watching!?" Yeah, I know. I watched the first episode, maybe a little less, maybe a little more, I can't remember. But, I still visit the aisle where Bakugan are in stores sometimes, and the Bakugan have gotten crazy. I played that one video game a bit, Bakugan: Defenders of the Core. Meh. The voice acting was weird, and I just didn't like it all that much. On the plus side, the battle system had potential. I hate how they scrap everyone except Dan, Marucho, and Shun, and jump for new characters. Runo was awesome, Alice was awesome, and Julie was awesome. Pokemon has gotten enough complaints from changing the girls, but changing half of the team every season is just crazy. I still like the old Bakugan, but I don't really like the new Bakugan. Maybe Fairy of Subterra still watches it and follows it, I'll have to ask her. THIS NEXT PART IS IMPORTANT. I'm not trying to offend anyone in anyway, this is only my opinion, and you are free to disagree. If you want, you can discuss in the comments. I haven't been keeping up with my email at all, but if I see a comment discussing the new Bakugan and what that person's opinion is, I will be glad that someone decided to discuss it, and I would be happy to join the discussion. However, be aware that there is a fine line between disagreement and not accepting another person's opinion.Short explanation: It's just my opinion, don't get upset.

Now, about the writers. Grace and I haven't talked too much lately, when I start the site back up, I'll have to ask her if she wants to continue writing. Fairy of Subterra and I are commonly chatting and sending emails, and I assume that she would be happy to continue writing. I'm not so sure about Phoebe. I haven't checked Winx-Fairies in quite a while, but I do know that she has a lot on her mind, and has had to get ready for a lot of things. We rarely talk, but I do know how to contact her. We talk once a month or so. Angela from Angela's Winx World and I have become friends, and I would be glad to ask her if she would like to write. (I don't think she was ever a writer on here...) "UnownReporter" (I can't remember if his real name was said on here) has his own Pokemon website now, and seems to have been busy recently. I can't remember the URL of his Pokemon website, so I'll try to ask him later, and put it up. Robin and I haven't been talking much, I'm not sure if she would continue writing or not. The same for Bloomerica. I'm also not sure about gamercatgirl, but if she did continue writing, she would probably write only about Winx. I'm not sure, I would have to ask her.

I'm pretty sure that's all I have to say. I hope I didn't kill this website. :(

Even MORE Nickelodeon Winx VA's

Credit to Winx Fairies  and Angela's Winx World for all of this.

Okay, so the voice actresses for Flora, Stella, and Tecna have officially been revealed! Voicing Flora is Alejandra Reynoso, Stella is Amy Gross, and Tecna is Morgan Decker. Apparently, Reynoso is from several short films, such as Desert Rose, and Gross has guest starred Moesha and Saved by the Bell: The New Class.

Also, the voices for Daphne, Stormy, and Skye (Yes, they've started spelling his name with the "e" at the end.) have been revealed! Kimberly Brooks is voicing Stormy, Elizabeth Gillies (Jade on "Victorious") has Daphne, and Matt Shively (Ryan from "True Jackson VP") is our new Skye! Interesting choices, no?

Anyone else curious about who the rest of the cast (Trix, Specialists, etc.) will be?

Official Roxy Enchantix

This picture of Roxy is found in an official Winx game launched in Russia. It's pretty cool to know that Rainbow actually made the Enchantix design, but we've already seen fan art similar to this design. Rainbow claims that this is their creation.

This image is not fan art, it was made with images found in a Russian game entitled "Meeting Stella" (direct translation from Russian to English in Google Translate). In the game, each of the Winx have their own unique poses, and you can also change their outfits. There's almost two thousand items in the game, like footwear, clothes, and transformations, and none of the items are fan art.

There's still doubt whether this is an official image or fan art, since we've all seen images similar to this one. Who is the creator of this transformation? Is it Rainbow, or is it a fan?
It's pretty hard to imagine a company like Rainbow using an image that doesn't belong to them. No matter who made it, Rainbow gave legitimacy to it and made it an official game.

This is the link to the original fan art that's similar to this image: Roxy's Enchantix
We'll see if this image appears in any magazines or comics, then we can confirm if this image is her official Enchantix. Maybe it really is her Enchantix, and Rainbow copied a fan art design. Who knows? Anything can happen.

Musa Voice Actor and Ariana Grande Reveal

Credit to Angela's Winx World for the news!

A few days ago, I posted about Ariana Grande voicing a fairy in the new Nickelodeon version of Winx Club. We all had our guesses, ranging from Musa to Tecna to Roxy, but, as a big shock, it turns out that she's actually voicing Princess Diaspro. Quite a few of us (myself included) forgot about the fact that she is indeed a fairy. This will definitely be interesting!

Also, according to Twitter, Romi Dames is voicing Musa! Dames is from the Disney TV show "Hannah Montana", on which she plays Traci.

Am I the only one who cannot wait to see this?!

Nickelodeon Winx Club Updates

Credit to Angela's Winx World and Winx 4 Life for finding this out first!

In case you haven't heard, several other voice actors have been confirmed for Nickelodeon's version of Winx Club. Aside from Keke Palmer voicing Aisha (yes, Nickelodeon is officially calling Layla by her Italian name), Molly Quinn, is voicing Bloom and Josh Keaton is voicing Valtor. Quinn is known for the TV show "Castle" and the Disney movie "Avalon High". Keaton has voiced many different characters on several animated films and TV shows, such as "Hercules" and "Bratz".
Ariana Grande (from the Nickelodeon show "Victorious") is also voicing one of the fairies, but she has yet to reveal which one. But, with her brightly colored hair and amazing singing voice, I believe it's either Roxy or Musa.

Also, Nickelodeon has an official Winx page set up on their website! Check it out here. There's also an official trailer, which states that it is premiering this June! Not long left to wait!
So, what do you guys think of the voices and the information we've gotten so far?

CoroCoro Soon Announcing New Pokemon Game Information

I can't remember if I made a post on the game announcement or not, so I'll explain. Dengeki DS revealed that there will be a new Pokemon game coming out soon. Satoru Iwata said a few months ago that there would be a Pokemon game released for the 3DS. Here is what he said:

Naturally, we expect 3D viewing to become one of the attractions when the new Pokémon title is released on Nintendo 3DS, but a number of other attractions, which do not depend upon the 3D aspect, shall also be realised," Iwata told investors. "I have no hesitation about the prospect that a Pokémon-franchise title will be released for Nintendo 3DS.
People have been speculating that the game announced in Dengeki DS would be the 3DS game talked about by Mr.Iwata. Now that it's all explained, I can get to the point of this post. CoroCoro will be showing more information in its June 15th issue, and Dengeki DS also says that it will be revealing more info in its May 21st issue.

Pokemon Global Link is Opening April 13th!

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been posting. I'm on a public computer, since I'm having computer problems, so this will have to be a short post. The Pokemon Global Link will be opening up on April 13th, after a small delay because of the recent earthquake in Japan.

Pokemon creator caught in Twitter death hoax

In the wake of Japan's earthquake and tsunami disaster, there have been many reports of major casualties, injury and death. However, it has also seen a wave of misinformation come through the blogosphere - particularly on Twitter.

The past six hours has seen the topic of Satoshi Tajiri, the creator of the Pokemon franchise, become a trending topic on Twitter.

"The creator of Pokemon died today in the #tsunami, #Japan. RIP: Satoshi Tajiri. #prayforjapan," wrote Twitter user @xCyrusAndLovato, with many similar tweets following in its wake.

Searches beyond the Twittersphere, however, point to no official reports or verified sources confirming the death of Mr. Tajiri, 45. Nintendo, who have worked with the Pokemon franchise since its video game inception, have since confirmed that none of their company alumni - including Mr. Tajiri - have been injured.

"Thanks for your concern!" wrote @NintendoAmerica.

"During the earthquake, no one at Nintendo in Japan was injured and there was no apparent structural damage."

Additionally, Mauritis Hot reports that Mr. Tajiri "fainted while seeing the destruction done by the Tsunami," but "is not dead."

Twitter has been the source of many death hoaxes in recent years, spreading rumours of deaths for celebrities such as Charlie Sheen, Jim Carrey, Kanye West and Justin Bieber.

English Pokemon Global Link Website Created

There is now an English page on the Pokemon Global Link website, along with a French one, a German one, an Italian one, a Spanish one, and what seems to be a Korean one in development. (There is also, obviously, the Japanese.) A press release also talks about this.

BELLEVUE, WA - January 27th, 2011 - Players of Pokémon™ video games have always enjoyed communicating with others, and the newest Pokémon titles launching March 6th-Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version- will make it even easier to interact with fellow Pokémon Trainers from all over the world! The Pokémon Global Link web site, launching this spring after the new Pokémon video games hit shelves, will give players the ability to sync their game play from their Nintendo DS™ systems to PCs via the Internet, and access customizable web-only content, befriend additional Pokémon, communicate with fellow Pokémon Trainers, earn and view Worldwide Battle Ratings, and more. Pokémon Global Link offers a seamless play experience across both platforms-activities players do online will be reflected in their Nintendo DS games. Players will log onto Pokémon Global Link using their Pokémon Trainer Club accounts, which can be easily obtained for free at www.pokemon.com.

Pokémon Global Link features three main components that enhance the Pokémon video game experience online. The Pokémon Dream World features all-new ways to interact with Pokémon in a customizable web-only setting, featuring mini games and scenarios that enable Pokémon and items to be transferred back into the Pokémon Black Version or Pokémon White Version video game. The Global Battle Union allows players to keep track of their battle record against other players around the world and provides players a Worldwide Rating and an opportunity to compete in live events. Pokémon Global Link will also house the Pokémon Global Trade Station, launching later this year, giving players the ability to track Pokémon trades all over the world.

For the first time, video game players will enjoy the world of Pokémon online in the Pokémon Dream World. This new area in the Pokémon Global Link web site comes alive after you tuck a Pokémon into bed using the Game Sync feature of Pokémon Black Version or Pokémon White Version. You can then enter that Pokémon's dream online. Inside the Pokémon Dream World, players can customize their Pokémon's home, grow Berries, and befriend other Pokémon by playing various mini games. Players can bring Pokémon they've befriended and items they've found back into their copy of Pokémon Black Version or Pokémon White Version. Pokémon transferred from the Pokémon Dream World can even be trained for battle! Pokémon Trainers will also be able to communicate and share items with other players exploring the Pokémon Dream World.

After registering with Pokémon Global Link, players will also gain access to the Rating Mode in the Global Battle Union. Players will be able to earn a Worldwide Rating, which is calculated based on a player's battle score, and see where they stack up against Pokémon Trainers from all over the world. Aside from bragging rights within the Global Battle Union, top-performing players may qualify for invitations to live regional and national tournaments in the Pokémon Video Game Championship series for the opportunity to advance to the Pokémon World Championships in San Diego, California, in August.

"Pokémon Global Link will introduce brand-new ways to play Pokémon that enhance what players love most about the games-battling, trading and collecting Pokémon," said J.C. Smith, director of Consumer Marketing for The Pokémon Company International. "Giving players the ability to interact with Pokémon and other Pokémon Trainers online deepens the game's play experience and connects players from all over the world like never before."

Online Version of Pokemon TCG To Be Released

In April 2011, an online version of the Pokemon Trading Card Game will be released in its beta for use. It's called the Pokemon Trainer Challenge. When it is released, people will be able to go onto the site and log in with their Pokemon Trainer Club username and password, then play an online version of the Pokemon TCG against twelve computer players. There will be three pre-made decks to use when first launched. The website also says that people will be able to "Win new cards", which I assume would be for use in the online game and not real life cards. Also, beginning on April 6th, there will be more pre-made decks that you'll be able to buy from the Black and White expansion of cards, which have codes that allow you to put those decks into the online version. It's still unknown whether or not battling other people will be possible.

New Victini Movie Information Revealed!

The official Japanese Pokemon movie website updated today with new information about a Pokemon movie. I heard about this earlier, but decided not to post until more info was available. Two movies will be coming out in Japan on July 16, 2011, with similar plots. These two movies are, Victini and the Black Hero: Zekrom, and Victini and the White Hero: Reshiram. Nikkan Sports, a sports newspaper website, has revealed a short summary for the movies. Here's the translation.

The main character Satoshi and his Pikachu are participating in the harvest festival battle held in Eind Oak, where the People of the Land live; the story is the same up until they meet the mysterious Pokemon Victini, but the legendary Pokemon differs for each of the two movies. "Black Hero" features Zekrom, which first appears when it acknowledges a human in pursuit of "dreams," and "White Hero" features Reshiram, which first appears when it acknowledges a human in pursuit of "truth."

Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge New Info

Today, the first episode of the fourth season of Bakugan premiered in Canada. From what little I can gather from the small collection of videos on YouTube, this season is set a around a year after the brawlers defeat the Gundalians. Bakugan Interspace has gotten more popular and now a Grand Prix tournament is being held to determine who the top brawler is.

Apparently, two groups of brawlers are challenging the brawlers as they try to win the tournament. The two team names are "Team Anubias" and "Team Sellon". The leader for Anubias is a male Darkus brawler, while the leader for Sellon is a female Ventus brawler.

Also, Shun and Marucho have obtained new partners. Shun's new partner is Ventus Taylean, who resembles an armored human. Marucho's new partner is Aquos Tristar. Dan is still partnered with Pyrus Titanium Dragonoid.

I know I misspelled some names in this post, and I may have misheard the names on the videos. But, as there is no confirmed information written down, I took my best guess with these spellings. I will edit this if the correct spellings emerge.

This Pokémon Was Too Controversial To Live

Image taken from the source.
A recent interview in Best Buy’s official @Gamer Magazine reveals that plans for a Pokémon based on the lovable creature above were scrapped after being deemed too controversial. What’s controversial about Dolly the sheep? She’s a clone.

Or she was a clone, at least. Dolly the sheep, often referred to as the world’s most famous sheep, was cloned by Ian Wilmut and Keith Campbell at the Roslin Institute near Edinburgh in Scotland back in July of 1996. She gets her name from the mammary gland cell used to create her and Dolly Parton, the country western singer known for her own impressive mammaries.

Cloning an entire animal from a single cell is a significant scientific achievement.

Dolly was the first mammal created using such a cloning process. She was developed using a process called somatic cell nuclear transfer, in which an adult cell is transferred into an unfertilised egg that’s had its nucleus removed. Electronic stimulation is applied to get the cell to begin dividing, and once a blastocyst is formed the clone embryo is implanted in a surrogate mother to be brought to term.

The end result was Dolly, a full-functional example of female sheepdom. Through the course of her brief life she gave birth to six children. She was euthanised in 2003 after suffering from lung disease and severe arthritis. Now she stands on display in the Museum of Scotland, a monument to science and ingenuity.
Doesn’t look too shabby for a dead sheep, does she?

Junichi Masuda and Ken Sugimori, Pokémon developer Game Freak’s directors of development and art, told @Gamer that a Pokémon named after Dolly was considered too controversial. This is coming from a game featuring a creature that evolved by crawling into the skull of its dead mother.

Cloning a living creature is a controversial issue. It raises questions about the nature of god, the value of life, and many other topics that scientists like to debate when they aren’t cloning the hell out of everything that moves. Still, it seems unfair to deny Dolly the honour. After all, she didn’t ask to be cloned.
Source (Kotaku Australia)

I get what they're saying, but it's a total fail because cloning has already occured in the Pokemon universe so there's no point in censoring it now.

So, the two new episodes aired today in English! Here's the opening:

I really, really like it! I didn't like the ones for Sinnoh all that much, but I really like this one! Also, Unova is pronounced "Youno-va". I thought it was "You-no-va", but the Uno is said squeezed together.

Apparently the Ben 10 book is already up for download for $1.99. Anyone want to give that a test run and tell us how it is?

Viacom takes stake in Rainbow

Viacom takes stake in Rainbow
Italo toon house produces 'Winx Club' franchise

By Nick Vivarelli

ROME -- Viacom has acquired a minority stake in Italian animation company Rainbow Group, maker of globally distributed "Winx Club" kiddie TV franchise, in a move that will propel the expansion of the ambitious privately owned studio and boost its bridgehead toward U.S. auds.

Founded in 1995 by former comicbook artist Iginio Straffi, Rainbow is an Italian success story largely thanks to his "Winx," six trendy teenage fairies designed with a style that mixes of Japanese manga and classic Western animation, that have bewitched millions of tween girls in more than 130 countries.

Last year, Viacom's Nikelodeon and Rainbow announced a global content-based partnership centered around "Winx Club" under which Nickelodeon secured TV and merchandising rights in the U.S. and pay TV rights for Latin America, Canada, U.K., and several other territories.

That partnership now expands to co-development and co-production of seasons five and six of "Winx Club," and to two existing theatrical "Winx" movie titles, CGI feature "Winx Club: The Secret of the Lost Kingdom" and "Winx Club 3D: Magic Adventure," which are now likely to be released Stateside via Paramount.

Neither financial terms nor the entity of the Viacom stake were disclosed.

According to Italian financial daily Il Sole 24 Ore, the Viacom stake in Rainbow is said to amount to 30%, allowing Straffi to stay in full control, with plans for a Rainbow Group flotation to follow.

Rainbow, which is based in the small central Italian city of Loreto, with a production outpost in Singapore, also makes the series "Tommy and Oscar," "Prezzy," "Monster Allergy" and, most recently, "Huntik Secrets and Seekers."

The group, which has emulated the Disney model, on a much smaller scale, also has a Rome theme park, called MagicLand, in the works based on the "Winx" franchise and other Rainbow properties.

Source: http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118031575?refCatId=14

Viacom is the owner of Nickelodeon, and Nickelodeon is, as you all probably know, now working with Rainbow for Winx Club. And, a quote from Kikurukina Bal Des'cagel from Winx-Fairies because I'm terrible at explaining:

"What is a flotation? A flotation is also known as an Initial Public Offering, or IPO for short, in which a privately owned company decides to issue stocks that can be sold to the public."

Thanks to The Oblivious Prattler from Una Di Noi and Kikurukina Bal Des'cagel from Winx-Fairies for putting this up first.

New Pokemon Black and White Information, and a Video!

The Global Link information has been released internationally. Here's the press release:

Sadly, the Dream World will not be available when the Global Link is first launched, to stop the servers from being clogged like what happened in the Japanese release.

Bakugan Fourth Season! Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge

A fourth season is coming out for Bakugan, and it's called Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge. Here's a paragraph about it from a Bakugan Wiki. (URL at the bottom of the post.)

A new enemy infiltrates Bakugan Interspace and threatens the heroic team of Bakugan Battle Brawlers. Dan and the others are challenged for their title as the best brawlers. Plus, Dan and Drago have dreams haunting them of bad events to come, courtesy of the Sacred Orb of Neathia. They also gain strange powers from Code Eve and the Sacred Orb. It will premiere on February 13 in Canada and February 19 in the United States.
I don't exactly trust the air date, because it may be just a rumor, but it seems like an interesting season, so I'll try to keep you posted!

New Pokemon Press Release!

POKÉMON PLANS BLOCKBUSTER YEAR WITH EXTENSIVE OFFERINGS TIED TO RELEASE OF POKÉMON BLACK VERSION AND POKÉMON WHITE VERSION VIDEO GAMES

National Mall Tour, New Animated Series, Feature-Length Film, Trading Card Game Expansion, and Toy Line, Competitive Gaming Tournaments and an All-Encompassing Marketing Program Highlight Landmark Year for Entertainment Franchise

BELLEVUE, WA - January 24th, 2011 - Pokémon™, one of the most successful entertainment properties in the world and the second-largest video game franchise of all-time, is celebrating a blockbuster year in 2011. Led by the release of the Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version video games for the Nintendo DS™family of systems, The Pokémon Company International will roll out an all-new animated television series and feature-length film. A brand-new trading card game (TCG) expansion, Pokémon TCG: Black & White, and merchandise, including an innovative new toy line, round out an exciting year of offerings from the company. A comprehensive, multi-million dollar marketing campaign supports the brand's initiatives, in addition to video game marketing from Nintendo of America Inc. This multi-pronged strategy will thrust Pokémon into the spotlight across its many entertainment offerings.

Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version launches in the U.S. on March 6th as one of the most anticipated video game releases of the year, introducing players to a brand-new world with more than 150 never-before-seen Pokémon featured in an all new adventure. The games' release in Japan last September shattered all existing sales records in that country, making them the fastest-selling Nintendo DS games in history with 5 million units sold (Famitsu, Jan. 2011).

"The release of Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version gives us the opportunity to launch brand-new entertainment that our existing and new fans will love," said J.C. Smith, director of Consumer Marketing for The Pokémon Company International. "Every major pillar of the brand-including video games, TV animation, feature films, andthe Pokémon Trading Card Game-will see exciting changes throughout the year."

Pokémon kicks off the year with a new animated series and full-length feature film set to air on Cartoon Network, Pokémon's national broadcast partner. The year's animation entertainment begins with the film debut of Pokémon-Zoroark: Master of Illusions on February 5th at 7:00 p.m., to be followed just one week later by the special premiere of two episodes of the new animated series-Pokémon: Black and White- on February 12th beginning at 9:00 a.m., starring an entirely new cast of Pokémon characters who join Ash and Pikachu on their continuing adventures.

In April, Pokémon will launch the Pokémon Trading Card Game : Black & White expansion, an all-new set of Pokémon TCG cards featuring new Pokémon, Trainers, and environments inspired by the video games. Pokémon TCG collectors and players will discover new expansions of Pokémon TCG: Black & White throughout the year. This latest installment of the TCG will add to a franchise that boasts more than 15 billion cards sold in over 60 countries.

The franchise's year will be kick-started by an extensive, multi-million dollar marketing campaign beginning with the nationwide Pokémon Black Version & White Version Tour, arriving at major malls beginning February 5th. The tour will hit 14 key markets over a seven-week schedule offering fans a first-look at the new video games and a slate of activities designed to heighten awareness and create a groundswell of anticipation around the franchise. The itinerary will include immersive Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version video game demonstrations, free screenings of the new Pokémon movie, Pokémon-Zoroark: Master of Illusions, photo opportunities with Pokémon characters, and various games and prize-winning opportunities for fans. A Pokémon Center store offering a variety of merchandise will also be on-site.

The Pokémon Company International will extend its grassroots marketing strategy with special character distributions throughout the year for the Pokémon video games at select retailers across the country. These character distributions offer Pokémon video game players the chance to receive, via Nintendo® Wi-Fi Connection, specific Pokémon that will not be available through regular gameplay.

Pokémon fans interested in playing the new video games and trading card game competitively can do so through Play! Pokémon events. These gaming tournaments, held throughout North America, Europe and Asia, culminate in the highly anticipated Pokémon World Championships in San Diego, California in August 2011, which hosts thousands of Pokémon players from around the world.

At retail, all-new Pokémon licensed merchandise is slated to roll-out throughout 2011, including a full line-up of toys from JAKKS Pacific. JAKKS plans to launch an all new Skill & Action line of toys for older kids which allows them to "Catch," "Train," & "Battle" their Pokémon in unique, interactive and competitive toy-based experiences. Keke Palmer Voicing Keisha in Winx Club...

Thanks to Winx 4 Life for finding this.

Nickandmore.com originally posted a press release about Keke Palmer voicing a girl named Keisha in Winx Club. Now, who is this Keisha? I have two theories:

She's a new Winx. (We already have seven, shouldn't that be enough?)
They re-named Layla/Aisha. (Can't you just stick with the original, Nickelodeon?)

Here's the Press Release:

Teen Star Keke Palmer to Shine in 2011 With New Interscope Album and Roles in an Upcoming TV Series and Three Films

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Jan. 11, 2011 — Interscope Recording artist and award-winning actress Keke Palmer just may be the busiest 17-year-old girl in America in 2011. Establishing herself as one of the fastest rising stars of her generation, Palmer will continue to star in the title role of the Nickelodeon sitcom “True Jackson, VP” while simultaneously shooting a movie musical, producing and starring in a second feature film, and performing voiceover characters in both a major animated motion picture and a new animated television series. Additionally, in anticipation of her sophomore album which Interscope will release later this year, Keke has already produced a video for her song “The One You Call.”

The three-time NAACP Image Award winner and Kids’ Choice Award nominee for Favorite TV Actress is currently filming Joyful Noise starring Queen Latifah, Dolly Parton and Palmer. Keke plays the daughter of Latifah in the story centered on a small-town gospel choir. She will also be featured on the soundtrack for the movie from the Blindside producers scheduled for release via Warner Bros. in early 2012. For Ice Age: Continental Drift, the fourth film in the blockbuster Ice Age animated series from Fox, set for summer 2012, Palmer will voice the role of Peaches, a young woolly mammoth. Also on tap Ragz, a music-oriented Nickelodeon teen movie, that Keke is both starring in and producing, which is targeted for a 2012 premiere.

In addition, she will record this year the voice of Keisha, one of the magical fairies in the Nickelodeon animated action and fantasy series “Winx Club,” a hugely popular franchise with young girls worldwide that will debut in 2012 with new episodes in the U.S. Set in the mystical dimension of Magix where three schools educate modern fairies, witches and supernatural warriors from around the universe, “Winx Club” first aired in Italy six years ago and became an international phenomenon.

Palmer’s breakthrough portrayal of Akeelah Anderson in the sleeper hit Akeelah and The Bee won her an Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture in 2006. In 2010, she won for the second time for Best Actress in a Children’s Television Show for “True Jackson, VP.” Keke Palmer remains in the record books as the youngest actor to ever be nominated by the Screen Actors Guild in a lead actor category.

Now, if there was another Winx, that would obviously be more than enough. If they renamed Layla, there would be obvious consequences. What do you guys think?

UK and Australian Release Dates for Black & White

Nintendo's officially dated Pokémon Black & White for a March 4 release in the UK, confirming earlier reports.

The decision means Europe will be getting the latest handheld monster outing two days before our American friends, with the title having been officially confirmed over Christmas for a March 6 US release.

The latest game features an entirely new roster of Pokémon - 156 in total, including some that are exclusive to each of the two versions, such the two legendary Pokémon Reshiram (Black) and Zekrom (White).

Also new are entirely differing areas to explore in each version, and the game also features changing seasons - another series first.

And Australia is getting the game on March 10.

What Can I Do To Make This Site Better?

Hey everybody! I wanted to ask everyone who reads this blog something, whether you found it on Google five minutes ago, have been reading ever since we started, everything in between! Even if you're a writer here! I want to ask, what can I do to make this site better?

We had a really strong point in July of 2010 and had a lot of visitors. It decreased every month until November, where we got a few more than October, but then it went back down in December. That saddens me, because I try hard on this site, but I still feel like I could do better.

I've been given a few ideas from our awesome writer Gamercatgirl, but I want to see what you guys think. Now, for the new year, we have a few things up our sleeve! Here are some of the things I have planned:

  • A Fan Creation Page (You know you all want one! I haven't started working on it just yet, but I've been thinking about it. I'll have to reconnect with a person or two, make some new links and graphics, have someone draw up the HTML for the configurations of them, and a few other things, but I think we'll be able to!)

  • Videos of gameplay and other things. (Like the Pokemon Tournament I should be going to around June. For the past two years I've been going, and this year probably won't be any different!)

  • Improvements made to the Song Lyrics and Videos page. (YouTube is irritating, taking down tons of the videos we put up...)

  • POSSIBLY a new writer. (I'm not sure about this yet, but I'm starting to think about one. Because of that irritating thing known as real life, me and gamercatgirl are the only ones posting on here a lot, and I say "a lot" VERY loosely. I'm thinking of recruiting another friend to do some posting here, but I'm not sure.)

  • And, of course, tons of new posts about new games, new news, and new episodes of Winx Club, Bakugan, and Pokemon!
Even though I have those things in mind, I need YOUR help! Tell me in a comment what I should do to make this site better! Remember, this site is nothing without you guys. I need you to send it bloopers, recommendations, videos, and news as much as you can to my email, imk1047@gmail.com.

I would also like to send out a special Thank You to the people who have been here from the beginning.

Phoebe Faulkner, creator of Winx-Fairies, and one of my best friends. She's been here ever since BEFORE I made this site, was the one who got it off of its feet for me, and was the one who inspired me most to make it.

Gamercatgirl, writer on Winx-Fairies, and a great friend who's constantly helping me with posts and news here.

Grace Qute, an awesome person who makes tons of our graphics here at Winx Bakugan Pokemon. The style of the website as I post this was mostly created by her! She made the links, the link to our forum, the header, and even more! Thanks sooo much, Grace!

Those are the three people that brought this site up with me, and helped me string together practically everything on it. If I'm forgetting anyone, don't blame me because I'm tired and it's 4:21 in the morning...meh, I was going to make a reference to a show I'm starting to get into, but I changed my mind.

Anyway, post a comment or email me your recommendations for this website! I'll edit this post and put them up on a list. HAPPY NEW YEAR!! (Wow, I typed a lot...)

Recommendations:
  • Update Bloopers and Babelfish pages more often.
  • Split Bloopers and Babelfish pages into categories so they'll be easier to read.
  • Simplify graphics so they won't be as distracting.
  • Change background.
  • Organize text in articles to be easier to read. (I tried to fix up this article a bit, I'll do that a lot more from now on. Thanks Kiku!)
